Before we jump into some of my main reasons that I love the Cricut EasyPress and think it’s a much better option for your craft room than an iron or heat press, we can’t forget to point out that Cricut designed this product with us in mind. They knew just what we needed in our craft rooms for the kinds of projects we like to make with our Cricuts and made a product to accommodate that. I haven’t found any other product to fit all of my iron on needs quite like I have with this product.
Here are my main takeaways to why you need a Cricut EasyPress :
▪️SAFETY – that you are much less likely to burn yourself than you would be with a regular iron that you stand up on your desk. I have even burnt my hand accidentally on the top of a heat press when I go to put my project down more times than I would like to admit.
▪️SPEED – using the chart that comes with the easy press is the perfect quick reference guide to know the exact time and temperature for your fabric and the type of iron on your using, so it eliminates the guesswork and having to press it multiple times then allow for it to cool off and check if it’s stuck yet or not
▪️ DURABILITY. With the Cricut EasyPress, you know that the iron on you apply will stay stuck to your material even through wash after wash after wash. This is all due to the evenly distributed heat you cannot find with a regular iron.
▪️ WHAT TO PUT UNDER YOUR EASY PRESS -as you all know, The cradle protects your counter or table surface from the heat when you are not using the easy press, and when you are using it you need to have a nice hard, sturdy flat surface. We recommend putting one or two layers of terrycloth towel down underneath your project to make sure you insulate your surface from the heat. It’s great to do it on a granite countertop, and you do not want to do it on a regular ironing board due to it being too wobbly, and it conducts too much heat.
