DIY MUG SUCCULENT PLANTER – DIY CRICUT PROJECT
Succulents continue to be incredibly popular! Now that so many people have fallen in love with them (and realize how easy they are to care for – especially if you use faux ones like we are here – wink wink!) they may just stay in style forever! We’ve made lots of succulent terrariums and shared them on the blog but this one is a bit unique. It’s a DIY Mug Succulent Planter – DIY Cricut Project. A succulent in a mug – isn’t that adorable? This is a super simple craft project that is perfect for summer crafting or gift giving. We found the super cute design in our members’ files on Makers Gonna Learn. With hundreds of cut files and fonts (and new ones added every month!), you won’t have any problems finding crafting inspiration. If you have a die cutting machine, you need this membership! Now, let’s get on with our succulent mug tutorial.

How cute is that! This project is super simple mostly because we’re using faux succulents. If you’re looking for a fun summer project or a new DIY planter idea then look no further.”]
- Fux Succulents
- Filler Rocks
- Cricut Maker
- Weeding Tool Set
- Transfer Paper
- Size, cut, and weed your little design with your die cutting machine and weeding tools. We used a Cricut Maker!
- After you weed your design add a piece of transfer paper and apply it to your mug. Make sure you apply good pressure. On a curved surface like that sometimes it can be difficult to remove the transfer sheet.
- Once you removed the transfer sheet fill the mug with little rocks or pebbles. They give your succulent stems something to keep them in place.
- Add your succulents until you’re satisfied.
I love the way this project looks. Who knew a mug would make such a cute planter? You can use your favorite color of vinyl to add some personal style, too. This is the perfect teen craft.
