  • Are Cricut pens waterproof?

It's important to note that there are 3 types of Cricut pens. 1) Basic pens 2) Cricut Joy pens 3) Cricut Infusible Ink pens. Cricut Infusible Ink pens are permanent once they have been applied and heated according to product instructions. The ink from the other two types of pens are considered permanent once the ink has dried.
  • Are Cricut pens acid-free?

  • Do I need to pre-wash fabric materials like shirts before using them for my craft products?

Yes! It is always best to pre-wash them in case they shrink. Some fabric items also come with a coating on them (called sizing) that can interfere with adhering your design really well.
  • If I'm working on a mug, glass jar, or other non-porous surface, how should I prep it?

We always recommend cleaning it well with some rubbing alcohol on a paper towel. This will remove any oils from your fingers, dust, and debris that can interfere with adhering your design properly.
  • What is the best substitute for Cricut markers?

We were really impressed with the performance of Crayola markers in our Cricut Maker. Remember that if you use an off-brand product before your warranty is up, you could actually make your warranty void. • Can you speed up the drying time of paint, stain, or sealant by using a hair dryer?

The simple answer is no. Trying to use a hair dryer to speed up the dryer time of paint or stain can cause it to dry unevenly. It may seem dry on the surface, but underneath, it is still wet. Applying vinyl on top of this could give you poor results and may not stick as well or as long as you'd like. You cannot speed up the drying time for sealant. If the instructions say it needs 28 days to cure, it needs 28 days to cure.
