Details

This is a great project for fall. This sharing plate is a wonderful idea to spread love through your community in a fun and creative way. Give this plate to someone filled with goodies, and watch the love be passed on. This is not a project for the faint of heart, if you're new to die-cutting this vinyl project is definitely harder, but rewarding. I hope you enjoy this tutorial.

Materials

  • Cricut Maker or Other Die Cutting Machine
  • Orange and Green Vinyl
  • Transfer Tape
  • Weeding Tools
  • Measuring Tape
  • Gold Charger
  • (optional) Food Safe Sealer

How to Make This Project

  1. Measure your bucket and size your file in Design Space or the software of your machine to fit well onto it.
  2. Load in your first mat, set your material, and let your machine cut.
  3. Repeat with your second mat.
  4. Once both your mats are cut weed your images and apply transfer tape to them each.
  5. Wipe down your plate with rubbing alcohol if you would like, then carefully position and apply your first layer of vinyl to it.
  6. Burnish all the vinyl down well, then slowly peel the transfer tape straight back.
  7. Repeat with your second layer, and enjoy!
  8. You can also add a layer of food-safe sealer if you'd like!
