HOW TO LAYER IRON-ON – DIY CRICUT SWEATSHIRT

Do you love sweatshirts as much as I do? I would wear them all year long if I could. They’re just so comfy and cozy. Best of all, the color and design can so easily reflect your style and mood. I have tons of sweatshirts – so many that I’m a little afraid to count them! Even so, I still wanted to DIY some sweatshirts myself. It’s a great way to create a craft project that is truly unique.

Want to make a layered project using regular adhesive vinyl? The one easy trick to master layering vinyl!

When I want to use my die cutting machine for crafting, the subscription files at Makers Gonna Learn is my go to! There’s even a fantastic collection just for apparel! The designs are so cute – you won’t be disappointed! Today, I want to demonstrate for you a How To Layer Iron-On – DIY Cricut Sweatshirt tutorial.

Funny DIY Sweatshirt

I love the way it turned out! This is a fantastic teen craft, DIY fashion project, or homemade gift idea. I used my favorite black glitter Iron-On for this Cricut project and, of course, a cut file from Makers Gonna Learn.

  • Cricut Maker
  • Cricut EasyPress
  • Cricut EasyPress Mat
  • Black Glitter Iron-On
  • Purple Foil Iron-On
  • Weeding Tool Set
  • Plain Gray Crewneck Sweatshirt
  1. Measure your sweatshirt and size the cut file in design space to fit well onto your sweatshirt.
  2. Once you’ve sized it let the Cricut do the work and cut your designs.
  3. Once everything’s cut unload your Cricut, weed the designs, and Preheat the EasyPress.
  4. Lay the sweatshirt onto your EasyPress Mat and position the design where you want them to go. Since this is a multi-layered project you’ll have to heat the different colors separately.
  5. Heat the black iron on then remove the transfer sheet. Position the foil Iron-On where you want it, reapply the transfer sheet over the black Iron-On, and heat until adhered.
  6. Remove both transfer sheets and enjoy your great sweatshirt!
